Hackathons used to happen on the regular throughout the area. These events served as a vehicle by which new ideas were created and built over a weekend. Hackalandia is a Portland-based event over the weekend of October 4th at the old Portland Business Accelerator Building on S Corbett. You can either come with an existing idea hoping that it will be built or join a team during the event kick-off. Once teams are formed, they will spend the rest of the time coming up with an MVP (minimum viable product) that will be presented at the end of the event. Judges (to be announced) will pick the top presenter and the winning team will receive some sort of prize (still working that out). We will also have a prize for the audience choice.
